The British Government designed morale boosting posters after he outbreak of World War II that featured King George VI’s crown with a bold coloured background and font. The first two posters ‘Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution will Bring Us Victory’ and ‘Freedom is in Peril’ were displayed across The British Isles. The third poster, ‘Keep Calm and Carry On,’ was to be released when Britain invaded Germany. Because this never happened, only a few were ever seen and the remainder of them destroyed. I find this absolutely beautiful and inspiring.
